APPG for London's Planning and Built Environment

The All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for London’s Planning and Built Environment was established and convened in 2015 as the first-cross party group in half a century to focus on London’s built environment.

The group seeks to highlight and debate key issues facing the future shape of the capital, from the delivery of quality and affordable housing to the creation of communities which are thriving, sustainable and inclusive.

The APPG for London’s Planning and Built Environment brings together people from academia and the public and private sector to join with members across the political parties and of both Houses of Parliament to explore and discuss the most pressing issues facing our capital.

Upcoming meetings

Our next meeting, titled 'Unlocking Retrofit: policy, finance and regulation', is scheduled for 31 January 2022.

Our themes

The current session of the APPG sees us focus on, among other things, the future of the suburbs, the question of VAT and retrofit, and the debate over refurbishment or demolition.
